Welcome Message

Our mission is to deliver scientific discoveries and translate them into actionable outcomes for the benefit of people and nature.

Welcome to the Sharjah Marine Science Research Centre (SMSRC). As we face unprecedented global challenges—from rising sea temperatures to biodiversity loss, from marine pollution to unsustainable exploitation —our role has never been more critical.

SMSRC brings together skilled and committed people, all focused on creating a better ocean. We are not just observing the ocean; we are developing ways to protect and restore it — in partnership with stakeholders from all across academia, government, industry and civil society.
