The University of Khorfakkan signed an MoU with Mission Neptune to advance ocean exploration, scientific research, academic education and ocean literacy. Sharjah Marine Science Research Centre (SMSRC) at University of Khorfakkan (UKF) has welcomed leading international marine and ocean science experts as part of the Centre’s International Scientific Committee.
Seven SMSRC team members joined EPAA, Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, volunteer groups and the local fishing community to remove waste from Dibba Al-Hisn Port and protect the marine environment.
The documentary Echo of Achievement will air in two parts on Al Sharqiya from Kalba. It highlights the vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in advancing education and scientific research. The film traces Khorfakkan’s transformation from a historic maritime city into a leading centre for marine science and research.
